This was Tetyana Chornovil a few days ago. She's a prominent Ukrainian opposition activist, known for investigating corruption among senior state officials. And this is Chornovil on Christmas Day. Police say the 34-year-old was beaten up, and left in a ditch by unknown assailants near the capital Kiev overnight. Her attack happened hours after the publication of an article she wrote about the assets of top government officials. On Wednesday, hundreds of opposition activists and their leaders rallied on her behalf outside the Interior Ministry. They think Chornovil's attack is linked to her activism.
