Songwriter and singer James Blake collected the 2013 Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize on Wednesday for his album 'Overgrown'. Mercury winners can be hard to predict but on the night no-one seemed more shocked than the winner himself. SOUNDBITE, James Blake, singer, saying (English): "Slightly numb with excitement, my face might not show it but I'm very very very happy." (Reporter: You look a bit shell-shocked. Were you surprised?) "Yes. I was yeah. I felt like I was sitting on a table amongst a load of people that just weren't going to be nominated and I was wrong." The 25-year-old Londoner is known for his melancholy tunes but also incorporates hip hop and electropop. But it's the first significant contribution to his trophy cabinet in quite some time.
