Visit for the latest sustainability and CSR headlines. McDonalds has published its 2011 Global Sustainability Scorecard. Among its highlights: By March of this year, fruit will be automatically included in every Happy Meal served in US and Latin America restaurants. By the end of the year, every Happy Meal purchase in Canada will feature yogurt, as well as a choice of apples or a new, smaller-sized fry option. Carrot sticks are now offered in 23 countries while corn cups are offered in 13 markets. Across Europe, 2800 restaurants now serve a four-item Happy Meal that includes a fruit or vegetable side. The Scorecard also reports that more than 95 percent of McDonald's restaurants around the world are offering Happy Meals with sides of fruit, vegetable or low-fat dairy as an option. The Kenneth Cole Foundation, AWEARNESS, in collaboration with the Sundance Film Festival, created a short film celebrating Festival volunteers that was shown in all theaters at the start of all films screened on January 25th, Volunteer Appreciation Day. For the eighth year, Kenneth Cole designed and donated the uniforms worn by the 1800 Festival volunteers and staff, and presented the Gayle Stevens Sundance Institute "Volunteer of the Year" award during the Festival.
